Therese E. Adams – Family Medicine Physician

dr2 (1)

MSN, APRN, FNP-C

Mrs. Adams is a proud native of Mundelein, IL and so happy to be serving the community in which she grew up.

Mrs. Adams started her nursing career at the College of Lake County in Grayslake, IL. She then received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Chamberlain College of Nursing in Addison, IL. As an RN, she worked in multiple departments within the hospital setting ranging from medical-surgical to orthopedics to oncology. She also served at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Zion, IL for over 7 years before becoming a nurse practitioner. It was there that she found her love of holistic nursing and in turn, holistic health care. She was able to see doctors utilize homeopathy, supplements, and other complementary modalities to aid in the treatment and recovery of multiple patients.

Mrs. Adams feels blessed to have join Dr. Joseph Starkman in his practice. Not only does it allow her to incorporate natural treatments, but encourages her growth and education.

Therese is an amazing practitioner. Very attentive and open minded to answer any and all questions. She is extremely knowledgeable and provides insight to many of the unknowns a first time mom; like myself; has. My son loves her and she is exceptional at getting him to interact with her!

Being treated by Therese is like a partnership with my improved help as the common goal. Whether she is treating my joint, heart or hormone issues she always gives me confidence that she knows what will produce results. She keeps up to date on the recent medical studies to suggest options not considered by my previous MD.

Therese helped me understand what was going on with my issues. Just the knowledge alone for what my issues are were enough to slice my anxiety in half. I love the osteopathic approach to helping people get better. Just awesome!!

Therese is simply amazing. She cares deeply for her patients and goes above and beyond to instill her holistic approach. She is a multitalented NP with a heart of hold! She thinks outside of the box and views her patients as people not a number. It’s a breath of fresh air to finally have someone treat me who actually cares and puts all the puzzle pieces together. Thank you so much for helping me ☺️❤️
The level of care my children and I have received from Therese Adams, is unlike anything we have ever experienced. She is well informed and kind. We are so happy we made the switch from a large practice, that didn’t have the time or resources to really care for their patients in the same manner she can.
